From the School Office:

GENTLE REMINDERS FROM THE SCHOOL OFFICE…

• OCTOBER HALF DAYS: Friday, Oct. 17th, and Friday, Oct. 31st (PreK: 12:00 and K-8: 12:30)

• School will be closed on Wednesday, October 22nd for all grades PK3-8.

• Students are to be wearing the Winter Uniform as of November 3rd. Girls in all grades must wear either navy or white knee high socks or tights. On gym days, sweatpants and sweatshirts must be worn. Only navy blue or white sweaters or SCS navy sweatshirts are permitted.

• Progress reports were sent home with your children on Monday, Oct. 13th. Conference forms are enclosed in today’s envelope for those parents who would like a conference with your child’s “homeroom” teacher.

• Halloween will be celebrated on Friday, Oct. 31st. Children are to come to school dressed in their blue sweats for a regular morning of schoolwork. The children will change into their costumes and parade around the school at 12:00 noon followed by dismissal at 12:30. Parents are not to send treats into school.

The Home School Assoc. will be having a Trick or Trunk party in the church parking lot at 1:00 p.m.

A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the book fair.

From set-up to clean-up, and everything in-between, we appreciate all your time and efforts. The book fair was a HUGE success and it would not have been possible without our volunteers.

The November Lunch menu is open.

On the November menu: ZITI on Wednesdays! MEATBALL SUBS are back on Thursdays!
SPECIAL this month: hamburger sliders or grilled cheese on Wednesday, November 19.
Ordering closes at midnight on Monday, October 27.
Please pay online or send cash or check to school as soon as possible.

Fall Clothing & Shoe Drive

Friday, October 17th from 3:00-5:00pm
Saturday, October 18th from 9:00am-12:30pm

Where: SCS School (pull up the school driveway and drop off will be at gym door).

Please remember to bag shoes separately!

Food & Wine Tasting Event

Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 7:00-10:00 p.m.

Please submit your reservations & payment to the SCS School Office in an envelope clearly marked “Food & Wine” by Monday, October 27th.

2 tickets fulfill contractual obligations for school families.

SPECIAL PROMOTION: Any SCS Family Reservation that includes 7 tickets within their reservation gets the 8th FREE!
(Rules/Regulations: SCS family obligation of 2 tickets cannot be combined to make up the 7 reservations).
