Community Service

S aint Catherine's community extends beyond our school's front doors. We teach students to be responsible and caring, both inside the school, and as citizens of their local community, nation, and world.

Students reach out to our local community by bringing in canned food for regular "Feed the Homeless" food drives. Middle school students take that commitment a step further as they travel to inner city soup kitchens to serve meals. Our Rosebuds visit local nursing homes. Our student body also participates in events that support national charities like "Jump Rope for Heart". Our Home School Association sponsors a Spring and Fall Clothing Drive for the poor.

Community Service is also discussed in daily religion classes. In the Catholic Tradition, our teachers encourage students to reflect on how they can strive together to lead a good life and help others. Our weekly classroom visits from Saint Catherine of Siena Parish priests also give students to sounding board to discuss important faith and moral issues in their lives and in the world outside Saint Catherine’s walls.
