Students from K-8 are engaged in S.T.E.M. an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.  Our program promotes problem solving, research, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Our program involves school, parish, and the local community.  Hopefully, we will impact the global community with our engineering designs.
The seventh grade is designing a shopping cart for the handicapped who have difficulty loading and unloading groceries from the shelf to the cart to the vehicle. Mr. Sal Paonessa, a parishioner and engineer has volunteered to assist 7th graders in their project. A special thanks to parents and local businesses who have supported the 7th grade in their engineering designs. The program was introduced under the direction of SCS middle school teacher Mrs. Carol Scalo.
