The Epilepsy Foundation developed Seizure Training for School Personnel in response to the need for a consistent educational tool to help promote a positive social and educational environment for students living with seizures and epilepsy. Classroom teachers, special education teachers, librarians, teacher assistants, school bus drivers, aides and other staff members or volunteers in grads K-12 can all benefit.

This First Aid Powerpoint Presentation is intended as a guideline for helping an ill or injured student when the school nurse is not available or until she is summoned.

 

Diabetes:

This Diabetes Power Point Presentation is intended to inform teachers about how to keep kids with diabetes safe at school. The presentation defines diabetes, describes warning signs for immediate concerns such as hypoglycemia, and gives tips for helping students with diabetes succeed in the classroom.

Heads Up Concussion Training Course:

Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports is a free, online course available to coaches, parents, and others helping to keep athletes safe from concussion.   Once you complete the training and quiz, you can print out a certificate, making it easy to show your league or school you are ready for the season.  Coaches & Physical Education teachers, please give a copy of your certificate to the Athletic Director.

We can help athletes stay active and healthy by knowing the facts about concussion and when it is safe for athletes to return to play.
